I think it would be fine for you to have both.. My advice would be to have the unique stuff stationed at each table, so people have something to do while they are waiting for dinner to be served and stuff.  I think they’d be more likely to do that while sitting, and then also hit up your photoalbum guestbook (make sure it’s somewhere they can see it easily!).

I really dunno how you do this, but perhaps you could incorporate your picture onto your fun guest book/mad lib pages by doing one of those pages that have different things to do like “draw the bride and groom” and then maybe have an engagement pic on each page and ask for the guest to write a cute caption for the pic? I think that would be a fun thing to read after the wedding. OR have word/thought bubbles coming out of your mouths/head and have guest write what you are saying/thinking.

I like all the PP ideas, how creative! Slightly off topic, but one thing I’d suggest if you decide to have a photo guestbook too is some kind of coupon. This website helped me a lot when i was deciding what company to go with and I ended up getting a coupon to get $50 in photobook for $15.

What about just a great display of you engagement pics as a backdrop to the table where you have your well-wishing activity table?

Something like this:

We actually did Guestbook color pages which I LOVE to read through still… but that is pretty different than the norm. lol
