So they would be signing the puzzle? Over the picture?

It’s a cute idea but I can’t really picture how it would work.

@soy:  The would sign the back of the pieces or the picture side? If you have a lot of guests wouldn’t the whole picture be covered with signeratures and messages at the end?

Not saying it wouldn’t be cute but you might not be able to see the picture any more.

@soy:  So are they signing the back? Is the idea to sign & then try to put the puzzel together?

Here are things I would consider:

  • Pieces have to be big enough to sign clearly & be a light color so writting would show up
  • Would need a big table to have pieces out, space to put puzzel together & space around the sides to write on pieces
  • Will there be a back-up at this table as people are walking in?
  • Will you want to frame it after? It would need to be framed in glass on both sides so you could read the messages on the back.
  • Frame with explanation AND a frame with the complete picture would be needed

I feel like this could work, but on a less busy puzzle. I don’t even think you’ll be able to really see the signatures on there.

@soy:  If you’re signing on the back I actually REALLY like this picture, because it would be a difficult puzzel to complete! 🙂

@soy:  I think the puzzle itself is really cool and I like the idea of having the little story of it, but I think it depends on what you want. For ours, we’ll be framing this picture with the guests names all visible because I want to see them on my wall.

Are you okay having the puzzle framed but not being able to see everyone’s signatures because it’s on the back of the puzzle? If that’s cool with you, then go for it!! I mean, you’ll know that they’re there.

@soy:  Don’t worry, there are several others!

Also, what about printing a photo on a large canvas and having people sign that?  Or a matt on a frame of you guys?
