We are having a surprise, outdoor and laidback wedding. We’re also on a budget, so we won’t be using glass, so no clinking!
But we want a way for the guests to ask us to kiss.
I was thinking noisemakers or clappers
I looked around and found these:
What do you bees think?

@RouleauLover: I think they are super cute and unique. Definitely will give some great phto op’s. Go for it!

@RunsWithBears: The bells just seem to bland for us.
@deefirecracker: Thanks ^_^

whistles or bells are a great idea! Some people have used party noise makers. One thing I’ve seen is who ever wants them to kiss has to go up with someone and kiss, tell a joke or short story. Or have a kiss tip jar.

wow I just realized we don’t have glass cups either… =/ hmmm kiss tip jar might be fun!
I like the whistle lips… too cute!

@HappilyEverAfter54: Be cautious of the tip jar, it may come off as greedy to some guests. Personally I think it is cute, but I’ve seen many debates about it.

Yeah, I wouldn’t do a tip jar… but some sort of noise maker would be great!

I went to one wedding where people had to get up in front of everyone and sing a song with “love” in it if they wanted the couple to sing. This included, but was not limited to, the Oscar Meyer Weiner song. It was adorable.

Whisle lips all the way!!! They are so stinking cute and perfect for a backyward wedding!!!

I like the “love” song idea, or maybe having to tell a cute story about the couple. That way, You dont spend the whole dinner making out with eachother either (not that it would be a bad thing, but I know my Mr. is going to want to eat at some point lol) and it gets the guests a bit more involved.

@RoyalLime: I thought they were adorable too, and so goofy, just like us.
I plan on inviting our guests to stand and say a few words or tell a story either way, so I’m not sure about the story telling or song singing.

A couple ideas from weddings I’ve attended:
First ( I love this one and would do it if we weren’t having a DW) guests Donate food bank items to make the newlyweds kiss-hilarious when someone brings a case of Kraft dinner and donates them one at a time… I’m sure you could also do something similar but with cash for your favourite charity
Having guest make and recite a limerick about the happy couple.
