You and my DH have identical taste in music!

I know he wanted “Never Stop” by Safteysuit to be incorporated in some way!

@wlphilli:  Haha I love your taste in music! We were just talking about this today – we’re thinking of walking into the reception to either “Safe and Sound” by Capital Cities or “Best Day of My Life” by American Authors – both might be good transition songs! I got shot down by FI, but “Green Eyes” by Coldplay was in my top 3 first dance options 🙂

I just picked my song, “Fix You” cover by the Vitamin String Quartet. Have you checked out their iTunes stuff? They have a tonnnn of beautiful covers.

We are using piano versions of songs by theory of a dead man [alternative rock] & lifehouse [also alternative rock]. I really wanted to throw some matchbox 20 or rob thomas in there.. but I couldn’t find a song that wasn’t drepressing or slow enough!

I’m having similar issues… trying to incorporate music reflective of our tastes into our wedding without being too confusing for our guests – I’m not 100% sure but I think I’ll be entering to the acoustic version of Hysteric by the Yeahyeahyeahs… and I thinkour wedding party is entering to VSQ’s version of Blink-182’s Josie. Still figuring out the rest while trying to incorporate some Paramore, Alkaline Trio and RHCP. We’re thinking I Don’t Want to Know by New Found Glory for our first dance – we’ve both obsessed over that band since middle school. Lately though I’ve been hooked on Natalie Maines cover of God Only Knows.

Our main plan of attack is to use all of our favorites and must haves during big moments, and cocktail hour. We’ll work a few into the reception but keep the rest crowd and dance friendly. The whole process has left me extremely thankful for Vitamin String Quartet however… you cannot go wrong with them!
