So I have come to the final decision that the flower girls are going to carry balloons instead of flowers. Our aisle is going to be solid flower peddles so it wouldn’t make *much* sense to have them throwing flowers out on an already floral aisle. Besides, the reason the flower girl threw petals is for fertility and we really don’t want any more babies…as sweet as they are.
*Just for clairification, I have a son from a previous marriage, he has a daughter from a previous relationship and we have a son together who suprised us both..but has made our lives so complete!*
Anyway. The flower girls have a pretty bracelet or corsage to make it more feminine. Super cute and I think they would like that a lot more than pesky flowers to throw on the ground. Has anyone seriously seen a flower girl walk wtih poise and throw petals without getting shy and nervous? If I was a flower girl I would think it was AMAZING to get a balloon.
So I’m needing inspiration on bridesmaids! Seems like every “unique” idea I ever had in my lifetime is now overdone thanks to pinterest. Don’t get me wrong. I love pinterest. LOVE it. I have found so many fantastic inspirations that I can’t be too mad. However. We are quirky. I strive for visual interest and something that makes people ponder why they never thought of it before…I am really bummed about off beat being not so off beat anymore.
Just because I started my rant I might as well finish it. I am so tired of people telling me that I have a “pinterest” wedding. Not like its a bad thing, but not like its a good thing either. More like I’ll regret it because this too will die off but like it because it usually is crafty with some once-upon-a-time unique ideas.
But then I’m overreacting. Could everyone seriously see everything on pinterest/facebook? I do not know…so I just want to do something fun, unique-ish and something the bridesmaids would actually carry. haha
One idea I briefly thought of was for the bridesmaids to carry picture frames of us as children growing into who we are today. Then I thought that the girls would think that was dorky and say “no way jose!” So I bagged that idea.
Silk flowers and Dried flowers are another thing I am pondering. 🙂
Here are the bridesmaid dress:
Only in an olive green perhaps. Colors are undecided as I chose baby pink shoes and having a fall wedding. My mom thinks I’m being too ridiculous not making those match. Haha
We are on a tiiiiiiight budget. So, any cheap alternatives would be appreciated.
