i'm not familiar with any other web-based invite sites other than evite, but how about designing a beautiful digital invite to email out to your guests? you can have them rsvp by replying to your email directly or use a website like mywedding.com to keep track of rsvp's.
I used pingg.com to send out invites for our wedding afterparty. It's a little classier than Evite (the backgrounds are a little nicer).
i second http://pingg.com - i used it for a bachelorette party i threw and it was great. it also allows you (for something like $1.50 each) to have pingg print and send postcards with the info. I love the site.
I am another fan of pingg. I love them and use them over Evite all the time now. They are much "cooler"

I know I'm not the original poster, but thanks a million fellow hive members for the awesome recommendation! I didn't know there were any alternatives than evite and never really like them. I just sent out pingg invites for my birthday part and will be using them many times in the future, I can tell! The hive rocks!

Does anyone know of any other web-based invites? We need to get a headcount for a daytime event at our destination wedding, but I'd like to find something a bit "classier" than Evite...if something even exists. I'd like to eliminate sending yet another paper invite!
