That's cute! We did advice cards for our wedding and I loved reading them.. baby ones would be nice too. We didn't even think of a guestbook at the shower, oops! Haha.
I've made these "hopes for baby" and "hopes for big brother to be" cards. I"ll print them as 4x6's and put them in an album

(sorry for the fuzzy pic it always does that when I try and covert a pdf to a jpeg) =/
I got the idea from a blog & just modified it for what I wanted. Here's the pin
I did this for our niece's first birthday and I'm thinking of doing the same for the baby shower. A 11x17 frame with mat board for guests to sign well wishes then a picture of baby in the center. A simple modern frame from Michael's with a 40%/50% coupon and a piece of mat board. I'll probably use a pic of the sonogram for the shower.
Kinda like this:
I saw this idea on Pinterest and LOVE it! It would be an amazing collection for your LO to keep and share with their own kids one day!

I just found out what they're doing for mine and I love it! They're buying river rocks and placing one at each place setting with a sharpie and then having each person write a wish for the baby. Then they're putting them in a big glass jar so I can put them in the nursery. I love it!
This may be kinda cheesy but what about having each person address their own thank-you card return envelopes? the closer the big day comes, addressing envelopes will be a pain in the you-know-what. lol Good luck on the suggestions. :)
I'm not sure what we will be doing at mine... but I went to a shower recently where they had newborn diapers displayed in a basket and guests wrote notes on the diapers as a guestbook. I thought it was cute ...
@mwitter80: I LOVE this idea!! I might have to hijack it for my own shower haha
That is SO cute!!!
I really wanted to do this as well! Until I realized how expensive children books are even at Marshalls/TJ Maxx!
@regberadaisy: I think they are doing this for my shower, but I've made it known to my friends who are planning it that it is more than ok for people to bring their used books. We actually have quite a few used books stores around town that it'll only cost you as much as a card would for a good book, so I'm thinking some people will take advantage of that.
Lucky! I love this idea! :) It's a great way to build her library. :)
Unfortunately used book stores are not plentiful around here and the few certainly do not carry children books.
But I did put a few favorites on our registry. :)

Sorry, there are no users yet.
Anyone have any? My mom is planning my shower, and asked what we would like for a guestbook.
I was thinking about some sort of "advice for parents" or "wishes for baby" cards that I can stick in a photo album? Anyone have any good links, pictures, etc?
Thanks!!!
