I have a super long wedding train. I plan to shoot some photographs also outdoors and in a very rustic kind of wedding venue, so the train could undoubtedly get dirty. I’m sort of OCD and I know it could likely be dry-cleaned or whatnot, but I want to figure out a way to minimize the dirt / dragging around. Probably it’s fine to drag in the church, but we don’t plan to spend the majority of the wedding time in the church.
Problem: I sort of don’t want to alter it to be shorter (it’s very beautiful, lots of embroidery and detailing), so is there some kind of alternative (like a ribbon underneath the train, etc) that I can do, some kind of trick or minor alteration, that will allow me to hold it somehow easily during the wedding?
Or how did you deal with holding up a long train during the wedding (any tips)?
I’m not a big fan of the look of bustles, so… that’s sort of out of the option (unless you know of a flattering type of bustle)?
Many thanks for any input!
