@NickiBee:  I saw that one! I saw it ironically the weekend before I got engaged on HBO and it was fairly good a little depressing but had a realistic view of what this woman Nina Davenport was going through. I could relate to her too and how frustrating it is or was when I was single and 30. I’m 33 now but still looking back most of my friends had already been married but while I agree Nina does seem a little desperate in that movie, who hasn’t made those mistakes. I guess i”m speaking on my own behalf. I think it was obvious that the guy she was dating in the first film was not for her and I mean he was not serious at all about marriage so for me that would be a deal breaker but I guess she didn’t seem at the time to be that serious about what she was looking for when she was on a girls trip and saying why she likes dating the guy she was.

First comes love was really good too and you could see how people had mixed reactions to her decision in having a baby but I’m glad she see’s the gift in her son and well being I was a single mom myself I teared up when he was born. I like Nina over all.

Yes I agree, seeing that there is indeed a world where not everyone is married, was refrseshing to see from these women’s perspectives after having lived a long life and no regrets in the choices they made. That is comforting and nice to see being it seems all we see and read about is the latter.

Yeah I agree too, if you feel you can help your friend have a child you should be there to support and not just be in and when you feel like it. I’m glad she doesn’t have regrets about having her son or being a single parent. I don’t know if it was just me but, I forget if this was while she was pregnant or right after but trying to date again I don’t know to each their own but I felt a little bit of that desperation was still there. Like still hoping to find that guy but I mean I”m not in her shoes and it seems she’s been through alot in her love life/life.

@NickiBee:  I know I have had that too feeling too back in the days of dating and its hard let’s not pretend. You put yourself out there just to get burned and then you do it again. I think we all feel for her, but dating while pregnant I just I mean having a baby is a big deal and to get caught up in that unless you find one that is genuine and all but in her case I just felt like you did on that.

Yeah hopefully she can just enjoy the baby and toddler he’s become and at least i’ve heard when you stop looking that’s when it happens. Maybe if she does that it could work for her if not she hopefully will just enjoy the life she’s had for her and her son.
