@alsgirl:  my first thought was hyperthyroidism. I had thyroiditis, amd it caused hyperthyroidism and I would be warm or sweat constantly.

@alsgirl:  Go to the doctor. It is free so there really is no excuse no to.

How old are you? Could be pre-mature menopause? that’s what it was for me. I was 27.

@alsgirl:  Um if you are in Australia then yes it is free. Unless you live in a remote place but even then there are usually a bulk billing clinic around. Unless you are an expat but there are still free clinics that will treat you.

So organise time off work. You really think your health is less important than work? Well I guess you do since you are asking for a diagnosis from a bunch of unqualified internet strangers.

Do they feel like sudden hot flushes / hot flashes?  Are your periods normal?  I second

@Magdalena:  question… it could be something like Premature Ovarian Insufficiency…don’t want to scare you but I was diagnosed at around 18.

Agree with PPs that the most likely cause could be an overactive thyroid. Women in general tend to “run cold” as compared to men. Whether it’s your thyroid or something else, it’s definitely a good idea to get it checked out.

Are you overweight? That can cause some feelings of warmth and fatigue.

@alsgirl:  The indigenous health centre at Narrabundah bulk bills and you do not have to be Indigenous.  The walk in centre at the hospital also takes walk in (so no appointment go when you can) and bulk bills. Crawford st medical centre I think still bulk bills. Really not that hard.

Not being nasty just unsure why a supposedly smart person would ask a bunch of unqualified internet strangers for a diagnosis? It really is one of the most ridiculous things to do. And even if you have to pay a gap why the f*%k wouldn’t you? Unless you don’t think your health is important. A weeks worth of coffees would amount to the same price. Surely giving that up for a week and paying to see a doctor would be better value for money.

It seems strange that you are concerned enough to come to the internet to ask but not concerned enough to actually get professional help.
