@Hedensk:  Definitely like the bling 🙂  I have a very similar engagement ring and went with a channel set wedding band.  My FI wanted a plain gold band for me at first but we ended up picking the diamond band because it looked so much prettier with my ER!

You could get a CZ band to add some sparkle without spending a lot.

Your wedding is one day before mine – are you surviving?  🙂

@Hedensk:  You aren’t even married yet (according to the wedding date on your profile), so I don’t see why it would be a big deal to exchange the band you got for the band you really want.  It’s not an “upgrade” if you’re getting what you wanted in the first place!

@Hedensk:  I actually like the less is more. I have the bling and am trying to convince DH to let me get a second set juat like what your currently have. It’s beautiful!

@Hedensk:  Nope. CZ looks the same, you just have to replace it after a year or so if it gets cloudy.

I have pretty much the same set as you. Sorry if pic is huge-posting from iPhone. I always wanted a plain band and am glad I have one, especially when working out or cleaning- nothing to damage! But… I’m starting to really want something with more bling and hubby and I will be picking out a new band for me for our anniversary in May. So my advice is- if you have the option to exchange it before the wedding, go for it. You could always get a plain band later if you wanted to. But I know personally, while I’m still loving the reality of wearing a wedding band, I got sick of the plain band pretty fast!

I would just get the band you want now so thst you can be married with it.  It has nothing to do with your mother in law.

Honestly, I love how the plain band really highlights your diamond in your e-ring.  Don’t get me wrong, I love the diamond band too….but there is just something about a plain band with a solitaire…I love it.

@hedensk your solitaire is gorgeous! Honest opinion, I like the plain band with it much more. But with that being said, if you want more bling, get more bling! You are the one that has to look at it everyday and therefor it should be exactly what you want 🙂 if its possible to return the plain band and put it towards a diamind band then go for it. If not then maybe you could find a pretty CZ band to go with and keep the plain band to and go for the stacked look, that way you can switch it up if you want to, best of both worlds!

if financially it isn’t a strain get what you want but honestly I think the plain band looks a lot better.  There is something odd about the look of the diamond band, but that’s just my opinion.
