I would just suggest another style instead of forbidding one.

If she’s paying for her hair, then she gets to choose the style. Your guests honestly won’t even notice the BMs hair unless they fail to brush it that morning. If you’re paying, then you get to choose the style (within reason).

She should hear your request and do something different.  It’s not a very dressy look in my opinion.  This shouldn’t be a battle for you.  I don’t think you’re being unreasonable!  There are so many other things she can do.  If she’s fighting it, she’s just being stubborn.

    I’m a bit confused— who’s “she”?

Poll is 50/50.  Someone vote D:

I would say let her do what she wants.  I don’t think you’re being Bridezilla at all.  She did ask 🙂

I have to agree that it’s not a hairstyle I would choose for a wedding.  and I don’t think you’re being a bridezilla.  She asked.  You were honest and did so in a nice way, even offering to find another look.

Has she seen other hair styles? I guess I’m wondering why she wants this particular one. I agree it isn’t super dressy, but it is her hair. She’ll be more beautiful if she’s comfortable and happy, and there will be very few photos of the back of her head.

Maybe you can go through other styles under the premise that you’re looking for you. She might see something that strikes her as nice. If not, then I’d let her do what she wants.

At first I thought this was for a bridesmaid. But for the mother of the bride I actually think that is an inappropriate hairstyle.

If she asked your opinion and you don’t like it then you are not being a bridezilla to say so. However if she chooses to wear it like that anyway then I don’t think it’s your place to say anything further.
