I was with you until you got to linens, napkins, and lighting. Maybe because those just don’t sound as fun to me as the others, lol! I think the rest is doable- but for me personally, for the cost of fabric and time taken to sew linens and napkins, I’d probably come out ahead by bargain shopping for them somewhere.

Good luck though, I admire the ambition! And it could make for nice bonding time with your future in-laws!

I don’t think you are crazy at all. I have done almost everything myself and have enjoyed it very much. I too am a perfectionist and know exactly what I want. It is just easier for me to do it myself; rather than try to explain to someone else how I want it done or try to hunt for exactly what I want done. Here is a list of what I have accomplished so far. There are a couple things not on the list, but you can get an idea. I started in November of 2009.

@noritake22: WOW! I am so impressed, you are my hero πŸ™‚ I didn’t click on all the links, but the ones I did (hello, BM dresses, hoodies and tanks, WE DO letters) are amazing. Love love love, you must be proud of all you’ve accomplished.

@noritake22: You should seriously get all the pics and DIY instructions together for all these projects and put them together in a DIY Wedding book. I know I’d buy a copy.

@SandyThePoet: Such a great idea! I agree, there are not many helpful DIY options in the wedding section of the bookstore. Or, I’ve seen one book’s top ideas converted to a magazine. A post-wedding project, maybe?

@SandyThePoet: Wow…Really??? That seems like a really good idea. I will have to research to see what I can come up with. Thank you for the suggestion πŸ™‚

@noritake22: Me, too! I thought about the save the dates because we were originally going with a beach theme, but haven’t opened the book since we changed to a beach carnival theme πŸ™‚ Think of all the future brides you’d be helping. Heck, I’ll buy a copy when you get published!!

@pink.sequins: lol, thank you. I will see what I can do. I am thinking of making a pdf version, so it would be less expensive for budget brides. I have a website that I am reorganizing, so I could put it on there.

Thank you to @SandyThePoet: and @pink.sequins: for your inspiration πŸ™‚
