I need some honest opinions here!!
My Fiance and I allready have a 14 month old son, and live together.
Ive picked out a ring that i really like and we are going to purchese it together soon (we have a shared income allready)
AND we have set a wedding date for May 17th 2014. That way we will have plenty of time to save up and finish school.
Now is it compleatly CRAZYYY of me to allready strat planning details? Ive allready picked out some dresses i like, researched flowers, cakes, invitations, you name it. I havent set on anything yet oviuosly because its two years away but i am looking. Everytime im online i find myself sometimes wandering into wedding related searches…
My sisters know we are getting married in a few years and have been sending me wedding related ideas as well so i guess that what makes me feel like its ok? haha idk. Have any other bees started planning so far in advance?

You can plan, just don’t buy anything until you’re about a year out. A lot of people change their minds over time and end up having different types regret. You don’t want to buy something to soon because more than likely you’ll change your mind 🙂

I agree with the PP. Create wedding folders and wedding boards on pinterest. Save all your ideas, but definitely don’t purchase anything for a while! You have plenty of time to plan and dream, but just don’t spend that hard-saved money for a bit!

I won’t call you crazy because I’m doing it too. My wedding is in Agust 2013, but we got engaged last May and I definately started browsing pretty early. The only thing i purchased is my dress (because it was exactly my size used and I had already tried on similar things and it was way cheaper than it should have been and I had wanted that dress for 8 months). Pinterest is awesome, especially for figuring out the mood/theme and colors of your wedding. Start a board with themes/colors you’re thinking about and see which ones end up having the most stuff.

Agreed!!! As all pp have said….it’s great to brainstorm, just DON’T make any big decisions for a while. Life happens, things change, you’re safer if you wait. 🙂

I actually bought a billion things when FI and I first started looking at venues (about 3 years ago) and I used them all for Christmas and other holidays last year because our ideas and plans….umm….developed. I agree with PPs – Pinterest is your friend!

planning is just so addicting isn’t it?! i’m kind of in the same boat, well a year earlier than you, but like pp don’t dish out any money until you are a year out. so until june comes i’m browsing, and on pinterest and clipping magazines. i think itll make it so much easier when the time comes to actually start putting it all together!
