I’m a 27, 5’5” and 154 lbs and trying to lose 15 lbs and just tone up. (I’m pretty muscular already.) I’ve been doing p90x for 5 weeks now and starting to get really frustrated because the scale hasnt gone down at all, and the change in how my clothes fit isn’t as much as I thought it would be at this point. (My overall fitness feels better…I just don’t really look better…lol). I’m starting to think that I’m eating too little and maybe going into that “starvation mode” that I hear about…
For work, I am a retail manager, so I’m walking at a good pace 8 hours a day and lifting/reaching/bending a decent part of my workday too. I do that 5 days a week. Currently, on days that I do P90X and work, I try to consume 1500 calories. On days that I work and don’t do p90x, I try to consume 1200.
Does anyone have any recommendations for me for calorie consumption on:
P90x + Work days?
P90x + Days off from work?
No Workout + Work days?
I know this is complex, but I thank you very much in advance. I’m active and although I don’t have a ton to lose, I just don’t understand why I’m not losing. I’m praying that it’s not because I’m getting older and my metabolism is going down. Yikes!
