I just got a quote from the printer and was quoted 300dollars for 300 invitations (invite, rsvp card, and map/direction card). I will be supplying all the paper, so they just need to print and cut...
While I haven't personally priced out "printing only" invite prices, $1 per set for printing and cutting seems pretty reasonable to me. I don't know how much the paper and envelopes cost you, but if you ordered a full set invite from a traditional printer or even online (including the envelopes and paper) it would be at least $5-$6 per set.
Does that price inlcude printing the return address on the invite envelope and the response envelope address? If so, then this seems really reasonable.
I think is depends on where you live and what colors you used. Since mine were white lettering on a blue background they had to use white paper and a ton of blue ink. This is what made it costly. They also charge by how many cuts they make.
I have no idea how much these things cost. All the writing and design are in two colors. It is regular printing style, meaning no raised lettering or no embossing...etc... They will be printing a total of 300 sheets that has all of our invitations, rsvp and directions on it. We will be hand writing our invites and printing out the initial cards ourselves.
I was more so expecting it to be around 200 dollars, which is why i was thnking I might have been overcharged.

Is this a reasonable price?

posted by fadingflower 70 posts 2 months agohaha that is cheap.. i paid around a $1,000 if you count in the stamps and all the extra expanses for only 200 of them but mine were all custom...
