Guys, I am DYING from the emotional rollercoaster this month has been. I need you to tell me if I'm wasting my time still hoping for a BFP or if there's still a chance I could be pregnant. Help a girl out, please!

History: PCOS w/no cysts. Anovulatory cycles due to insulin resistance. NTNT since 5/10. TTC since 1/1/11

    Medication: Metformin. Clomid -- 50mgs

Clomid cycle 1 -- Pos. OPK on CD 16. No BD until evening of CD17 because I was out of town. AF arrives 12 DPO.

Clomid cycle 2 -- this month. Pos. OPK on CD 20. BD on CDs 17,19 and 20. (YAY! Awesome timing!)

    Symptoms:

    3 DPO -- dizzy spell

    5 DPO -- migraine

10-11 DPO -- Cold-like symptoms with stuffy nose. Slightly sore boobs.

12 DPO -- no sign of AF. lots of thick, snotty CM (sorry if that's TMI). VERY bad bloating. I never get bloating that bad unless I've eaten sugar alcohols, which disagree with me. Only SURPRISE!  I didn't eat any. Slight heartburn. Boobs still sore. Random nausea.

13 DPO -- Bloating all day. Heartburn. More dizziness. Random nausea. Cramps. CM has a tiny amount of blood in it, enough to make me wonder if I'm starting, but hasn't turned into AF yet.

I've been taking FRERs since 10 DPO, but they've all been negative! I'm at the point where I'm literally looking at the stick saying "Seriously? How can I not be pregnant?" I'm not usually a symptom stalker, but I usually don't get cramps before AF starts and the bloating is seriously weird. I haven't changed my diet at all. My typical AF symptom is a twitchy feeling in my lower back that makes it hard to sleep, and I haven't noticed  that yet. I've read that some of you haven't gotten your BFPs until several days after your period was due. Is there still hope?

Help me, O great and powerful internet friends!

I'm sorry you're going through such a roller coaster this month!  Honestly, yes, your symptoms sound as though they could be early pregnancy symptoms, but they also could just be a nasty case of PMS this month too.   I know easier said than done, but try not to worry about it so much as the stress could be wreaking havoc with your cycle right now.   I would keep testing every morning - only once per day, only one test! - until you either get your BFP or AF arrives.   Until AF arrives, there is always a chance...

    Fingers crossed for you!

I found this about pregnancy tests, I hope it helps. It's not over until AF comes but testing early can give you a whole lotta heartache. Hoping it's your cycle!

    HPT Accuracy Results Percentages:
(Based on a 25mIU sensitive test)
    10 dpo : 35%
    11 dpo : 51%
    12 dpo : 62%
    13 dpo : 68%
    14 dpo : 74%
    15 dpo : 80%
    16 dpo : 88%
    17 dpo : 92%

Bunny, this sounds SO PROMISING! I really really hope this is your month! Do you temp? What are your temps doing? Staying high?

Realistically, you should probably wait a day or two and then test again, but who am I kidding, I'd pee on a stick all day every day if it weren't so detrimental to my sanity/bank account.

Please please let us know if you test today and what the outcome is. Crossing my fingers for you!

I say you are in until AF shows.  If I were you I would test every day until you get a + or AF shows.

However, I also feel compelled to add that I have been absolutely blown away by the power or psychosomatic symptoms since I started TTC.  I keep careful track of my TWW symptoms so that I will not be fooled again, but my body keeps coming up with better and better phantom symptoms to trick me.  If you are getting negative HPTs at this point, you are probably not KU.  BUT, since your LP is normally 12 days, I would wait until 16 DPO and if there is no AF, go to the doctor and get a beta.  Some women just never get + HPTs.

I voted Yes, but I would wait until Friday for a couple of reasons...

The first is that seeing negatives everyday is just fustrating and makes you stress over it.  Try to focus on other things (easier said than done, I know).  But I also know that feeling you get in your chest when you see yet another negative at this point in our TTC journeys.  It hurts.  And testing when there is still a chance it won't show just makes you more anxious.

The second is that your periods might not be considered "late" for a couple of extra days on Clomid because it can lengthen that part of the cycle.  It is such a tease when you think you are late, but it is only because of stupid Clomid. This might not apply to you since your LP is shorter than average, but it is still a possibility.  For me, AF came (on Clomid) at about 17 dpo, sometimes even 18.

I think your symptoms sound really promising though.  I very much hope this is your month!!!  I had what felt like an oncoming cold starting at 7dpo.  I had some dizziness and nausea at about 10dpo that lasted about 2-3 days.  It felt like I was getting the flu.  It felt quite different from when I thought I had symptoms before...I mean different than the symptoms I had previous times when my mind was playing tricks on me.  Like, more real.  Not like "hmm, could this be nausea?"  It was like "oh shit...I'm gonna puke!"

    Good luck!!!!!

@Vitsippa: If I would have seen this earlier in the week, I wouldn't have gone through 4 HPTs in hopes of getting a BFP. Guess waiting until Friday or AF is what I have to do.

I think there is still hope! I think that your symptoms sound very promising. If I were in your position I'd keep testing every morning honestly. The only reason I don't like waiting is because I have low progesterone though and the early I can find out about a pregnancy and get on prometrium the better. I get so nervous that that one day that I didn't test I could've gotten a positive and already be building my hormones to help the chances of healthy baby.

If progesterone wasn't an issue for me and I was in your situation I'd wait until Friday. Good luck!

I'm not going to comment on whether you should hope because I've been there and the hoping is frustrating in itself.  But I'll hope for you!!  You're not out till you're out.

I love you guys soooo much. Another negative HPT this morning, unfortunately. I've switched to internet cheapies now that I'm home with my stash. ;) AF-like cramps, but no further spotting or bleeding thus far. The waiting kills, you know? Thank you all for your advice and esepcially for your crossed fingers, prayers and hopes.

Interesting information on how likely you are to be pregnant with a negative HPT:

Sorry about AF showing up.  :(   I have to say that I had similar pms symptoms and they were SO different from normal that I would have sworn up and down we were pregnant but sure enough AF arrived earlier this week for me too.

@chrispygal: Glad I'm not alone. I think I'm just not used to AF symptoms because I haven't had regular cycles in forever! Seriously it's been more than 2 years since I had a real one on my own. :(

Thanks for the sympathy, all. Mr. B and I are just really relieved to be out of the TWW and pressing onward. Of course, we would have preferred a positive result, but it was the not knowing that was really difficult! Round 3 of clomid, GO!

@chrispygal: I'm having crazy symptoms that make think it's pregnancy or a big bad AF in the future. Seriously, my boobs are so big and swollen right now it's not even funny. They're all veiny too. The mild cramping continues. I hate waiting until Friday to know what's going on. I'm afraid I'll be disappointed when AF shows up despite being our first cycle.

@bunny: Same here, but another BFN this morning 2-3 days away from AF. I'm feeling like this might not be our month. My boobs are still big and veiny. Cramps kind of went away today. I'm hoping, but feeling like it's not going to happen this month. It sucks because I work on a super fertile floor where lots of women have gotten pregnant. Most of our friends got pregnant on the first cycle too. Only a few more days until AF.

@bunny: I was REALLY hoping for you, Bunny! :( So sorry, but this just means you have another month to have LOTS of BD'ing! (That's what DH says every month when AF comes...haha). I swear anything that happens to me during the TWW, I can make it a pg symptom in my mind.
