You’re only on cycle day 17, and from your CM, it looks like you migth be gearing up to ovulate very soon. I personally don’t ovulate until CD 14-17 …so don’t freak out yet! You really look like your body is getting ready!

@linnylou_88:  I can’t see ovulation yet, although it could have happened on CD 16 but you need a few more days before you see the temperature rise.  No reason to be worried.  I O consistently on CD19 and I know there are plenty of others who do too.  The first month of charting can be very nerve wracking.  But, hang in there!  Before long you will become familiar with what is normal for your body and it will be a much more comfortable process!

It takes a few months of charting to see your patterns. It doesn’t look like you’ve ovulated yet. What is your normal cycle length? Did you recently stop using birth control?

@linnylou_88:  That’s good! I’m guessing you are probably ovulating right now and will see the temp rise tomorrow. Also you have a lot of open circles which means you’re likely not temping at the same time every morning so it can throw your temps off a bit. But your chart looks pretty normal for the first half of your cycle. 🙂

@linnylou_88:  Yeah I chart CM and other symptoms but not temps because I never wake up at the same time and I always wake up at like 3, 4 or 5am to pee then go back to sleep. I figure my temps would be all over the place so it’s not worth the stress of it. My cycles are pretty average so I’m ok with just charting the other stuff. 🙂

@linnylou_88:  Yeah fertility friend says something about needing to be asleep for like a four hour stretch before waking up to temp, which is the major reason I don’t do it. I chart CM, and things like breast tenderness, cramps, spotting, stuff like that. I can usually tell when I ovulate because I get super cranky, my libido spikes, and I have EWCM. I usually get tender breasts for a few days post O, but I had a MC in June and this is my first “normal” cycle since then and symptoms are off a bit so not sure what my new normal will be so I’m charting ever single twinge, tenderness, mood swing etc. So next month when I have breast tenderness right before AF arrives instead of right after O I can look back and be like – oh yeah, that’s a new AF symptoms, not a preggo symptom lol. It’s so stressful!!

@linnylou_88:  Oh thank you so much. Yeah it is definitely daunting! I’m sure you’ll start to see patterns soon. 🙂 🙂

@linnylou_88:  My first month charting, I didn’t O until CD 19.  I wouldn’t get yourself freaked out, it looks like you’re still gearing up for ovulation.  I wouldn’t be surprised if you see your temp spike in the next few days 🙂
