I’m lining up all of my accessories for the big day, and I’m starting to get worried it’ll be overdone! I’m going for a kind of fun, but elegant look, and I’m not sure if everything I have in mind “goes” together, and I don’t want my accessories to take over the elegance/beauty of my dress.
Opinions? Vote on the items you think I should wear!
First, here’s the dress:
Vintage inspired fascinator:
Brooch (would go on the front of the dress, where the criss-cross layers meet near my hip above the dropped waist – would include rhinestones instead of crystals to match the hairpiece):
Necklace: (the oval on the bottom would be a rhinestone ball, to match the earrings…I’m NOT getting the bracelet):
To top it all off, I’m wearing a fingertip veil for the ceremony, and cowboy boots under my dress.
Hive, is this too much accessorizing? Which elements should I keep/do away with? Please vote for the items you think I SHOULD wear on my wedding day…and thank you for your help!

I’m not 100% sold on the brooch (would have to see it in place) and have you thought about swapping the veil for the fascinator at the reception? The jewelry looks good. Good luck!

I voted for everything. I say its your wedding day, go for it. At least everything is matchy matchy. I’m doing the same sort of thing. Flower on a sash around my waist, flower in my hair and earrings! Go for it. You will look great!

this is just my opinion but I think you should do the earrings and bracelet and not the necklace. i love the feather fascinator! definitely go with that also! I am just not a fan of earrings and necklaces worn together. gorgeous dress by the way! i don’t think it needs a brooch. it is so beautiful as is.

I love everything except the brooch-only because it draws attention TO your waist and AWAY from your face….which is what you want everyone to be looking at!!! Otherwise-love the accessories! Beautiful dress, btw 😀

I would skip the necklace! The woman I bought my jewelry from actually talked me OUT of buying a necklace too because she said it would be too much – and she was totally right.
BTW your dress is amazing!

- Wedding: May 2011 - Bartram's Garden
I’d do the fascinator and earrings and skip the rest. 🙂

i think either the brooch or the fascinator, and either the necklace or the earrings, would look best. i think it all goes together, but might be a bit much and take away from the rest of your appearance. my dress is similar to your in that it has tiers–i’m thinking i’m going to wear a sash with flowers and big earrings (and a veil). trying it all on together and in differernt combinations will help be able to tell!

I would do the hair fascinator, earrings, and a bracelet (nix the necklace).

I agree that the broach would most likely take away from you and your other awesome accessories. I really love the idea of the fascinator in your hair along with the earrings. You could go either way with a necklace. I’m doing a crystal headband, earrings and bracelet so I’m not going to be wearing a necklace.

Fascinator and earrings…and maybe the bracelet. I think any more is pushing it.

I would just skip the brooch. I think it’d be odd placement, personally.
I like necklaces, too, but I don’t like that particular one.
I am a super accessorizer though. Is that a word? =]. I wore a ton of jewelry on my wedding day…i think it’s all about having the right pieces.

i dont know about the brooch on the dress. Its too much feathers for me.

I didn’t vote for the brooch. But I also am thinking earrings and bracelet

I am doing a hair piece like that but only wearing it for the reception. I will wear a veil for the ceremony and when that comes off I will put the clip in.
