I feel I may have chosen the wrong colors for my wedding.
Me & fi each picked a color for our wedding, he chose black, I chose pink [mainly fuschia, but other pinks to break it up a little]. We thought the black & pink combo was a little harsh, so we added ivory.. so it was black & ivory with hints of pinks.
I just went through my boxes of wedding stuff, and the more I look at all 3 colors together.. the more I think I really don’t like ivory, and should have chosen white. I feel like the black & pink make the ivory look dull, or dirty? I don’t really know, but it doesn’t bring out the best colors.
So now I’m thinking of dumping the ivory and going with white. It would probably only set me behind about $400 .
Anyone ever had this happen to them and wanted to switch to a differant color?
How do you feel about ivory/black/pink vs. white/black/pink?

Yes, you’re overthinking things 🙂
I think it’s a bit like the “Will FI’s white shirt make my ivory dress look dirty” question that pops up sometimes. I think the answer is no, the difference is so so slight. And ivory is so much softer than white but not as in your face different as cream or champagne.

I think you might be right.. I plan to have pink lighting anyway so I guess that would mask the ivory… I just keep having thoughts that ivory looks dirty next to the other colors.

No one will notice – everyone will think the ivory is white! 🙂

@jenilynevette: I would keep the ivory, it goes well with black and pink. 🙂 And honestly I don’t think I would want to set myself back $400, that is a lot of money!!

Keep the ivory!!! It’ll look fine and it’s so not worth going back and spending money and redoing things. It’s not like anyone is going to be sitting at your wedding thinking “Well, that was a nice ceremony and all but if only she had used white instead of ivory!”

Thanks ladies, I think you’re right and I think the stress is getting to me! Now I’m second-guessing everything, even though I’m sure it’ll look great!
