@eecuadrado:  Oh, girl. You have a slew of things to “look forward to.”

Constipation (eat prunes. If you hate prunes, get orange flavored ones. Stay clear of fiber one bars. If you’re like me they give me horrible gas that first makes me feel like my insides are forcing themselves out of my bellybutton)

Acid indigestion/heartburn (I eat applesauce–I swear to cheesus it works)

Sore boobies (if you find a cure, let me know)

Headaches (and possibly some dizziness/tingling of the face) (Tylenol is only thing approved)

Frequent peeing (lean forward when you pee to make sure you’re empty)

Mood swings (just tell everyone to steer clear and have a small piece of chocolate)

Anxiety (get a maternity pillow like the Snoogle. You will need something anyway if you are a back sleeper becuase after the first tri, you shouldn’t sleep on your back anymore, so this hjas trained me to sleep on my side. Sleeping with something between your legs helps. You body will start creating more blood and oxygen, so you will feel weird, and a maternity pillow helps a lot. If your heartbeat is fast, it’s ok. If it reaches over 100, go in just to make sure you are ok. Obviously this happened to me so I feel like an expert lol)

aaannnndddd cravings. All you need is a good man willing to go to the grocery story after you’ve told him 3 times “I want salsa” and then changed your mind 3 times. Then when you finally decide, “Ok, I really do want salsa” he will look at you and say, “Are you sure this time?” And you look at him unsure, he totally gets it anyway, lol.

**Make sure to join the May 2014 mama board 🙂

**I also want to add that unless you are having very bad cramping along with bright red bleeding, don’t freak out. I have had cramping every since I conceived, and my baby is ok (as far as I know–my 12 week is October 4). I haven’t had any spotting, but it is normal, so don’t panic.

@eecuadrado:  Congrats! Expect to be tired for a good while.  And uncomfortable towards the end.  Buy “What to Expect When Youre Expecting”.

@BearyLovely:  The cereal isn’t so bad, but the bars are awful. Good tasting but horrible stomach cramping for me, and that is the last thing I need. I also steered clear of What to Expect because I was scared of half the stuff they talked about, lol. I am a worry wart though, and they had a lot of worst case senarios. I actually own Mayo’s Guide to Pregnancy, which is super informative.

@eecuadrado:  Congratulations!!!

I barely had any symptoms my entire first trimester.  Besides mad cravings (I gained almost 15lbs!!), constipation, and a random day here and there where all I wanted to do was sleep (I called that “growth spurt days”). 🙂  OH, and big boobs!! 🙂

@eecuadrado:  I am in my second pregnancy and in the beginning could not find this book for the life of me at my house.  It was the baby bible for me with my first so I was fraking out that I couldnt find it this time.  My husband just ended up buying me a new one during my 10th week or so.  I won’t lose it this time!

@eecuadrado:  Lol I’m for real. You will get a few little tinkles out…and better to get them out there than have them come out when you giggle too hard or sneeze :-

I have the Mayo Guide to Pregnancy too. Pretty much all of the information from that book is also available on Babycenter.com. I didn’t feel like I learned any new information from it, unfortunately.

I have had a pretty easy pregnancy. I had UTI symptoms and flu symptoms for the first week, other than that I have had extreme fatigue and hunger. I alternate between sleeping 10-12 hours a night and napping during the day to having extreme insomnia. I have had cramping but no spotting. The worst is the cravings and food avoidance. When I want to eat something I NEED to eat it, and I cannot eat vegetables for the life of me.

Join your month board! It is super great to share the experience and see what everyone else is going through.

Congratulations 🙂

My advice is to expect the unexpected.  You may feel really sick or you may not feel sick at all.  I kept taking my 100mg of B6 (that I took for a LP defect) until 3 months. Not once did I have any morning sickness.  My fatigue only lasted a couple of weeks.  I got lucky, I’ve seen other bees get lucky too. But some of them worry b/c they don’t have the reminder symptoms.

Other bees get really really sick 🙁  It totally sucks but it is a friendly reminder of what is growing inside of you.

OH – beware of round ligament pain.  Mine started early at 6 weeks. It’s a sharp pain in the lower abdomen, it doesn’t last long. It hurts like hell but it’s totally common and baby is fine!
