- Wedding: June 2014
Okay, for some reason all of my knowledge of everything has gone out of my head and I want to submit our invitations for a price quote on Monday.
Our wedding vibe: secular, and fancy but NOT formal. My parents are hosting, but as a sign of goodwill/whatever, we’re referencing FI’s parents as well. Both sets of parents have requested that the mom gets her name mentioned versus just being our fathers’ Mrs.
So this is what I currently have:
Mr. and Mrs. Arthur and Jane Smith
joyfully invite you to
the wedding of their daughter
son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert and Rebecca Doe
date, time, location, blah blah blah.
(Note: Not real names. Well, except for my first and middle)
Is this acceptable/correct? Is there a more appropriate way to word this but so that we can still keep our mom’s names? We don’t want to get rid of the Mr. and Mrs.because we do have some level of fanciness, but we’re not going for super formal. I guess we’re looking for cotemporary fancy.
