Bee’s, Its been some time since Mr. Sea Turtle and I got engaged and I can at least say that we have some things done. Like figuring out how I want to create the invites (Yes, I’ve decided to DIY them) abd my loving mother had surprised me this past June by buying my wedding gown and I thankfully have all the special things to go under it and my shoes and earrings but that about it.
See Bee’s I work two jobs and go to college so that one day I can be called Dr. Sea Turtle and Mr. Sea Turtle works for the state but also pays for child support for his youngest that lives with his mother. The crazy part of this all really is that although I had already “decided” on the venue location I was still kind of looking for something closer and a little more grander. (Unfortunatly I have what Mr. Sea Turtle Calles the “Keeping up with the Jones’s Disease” Meaning I want my wedding to outshine any that my other family members might have) There, thats part of the crazy me but what I am really refering to is that the Vineyard I had decided on was for one room that would hold as both our reception and ceremony location with a drap sheilding what would be the recetpion section(mind you this is not really a big area)
But then I came across this image,
(From Pinterest Early Mountain Vineyard Site)
Which could look like this Decorated
(From Early Mountain Vineyards Pinterest Board)
I CANNOT LIE this literally made me stop and my mind stop racing with all the things to think about but when I came back to my mind my first thought was “Oh gee’s how much is this going to cost??” I found that answer out today when they emailed me back, the space as well as the tables and chairs and actually the whole event space with the lawn, little cottage, gallery, patio, etc. is about 3,000$ more than the “decided” on wedding location. But if I were to move my date to a different time of the year then its only 2,000$ more. Granted we’re only going to have about 100 People at our wedding but still Grandma Sea Turtle needs some breathing room!
So Bee’s am I crazy to even consider this or is it logical to consider it because of the huge amount of more space we are going to have?
