I voted for the NYC Christmas trip, that would be one of the most romantic proposals ever! & It's not too terribly far away :) Hope it's very soon for you!
Spring chickens, all of you!! I'm 38 and just got married this year. There was a time that I felt desperate to get married (mostly in my 20's -- maybe that's normal?), but I grew out of it. Being single definitely has its advantages. Waiting it out for the love of my life is the best thing I ever did!
Well age wise I am 26 years young...however I have been with my intended for longer than most people I know 8 years so its been a while now :)
I'm 29, but I'm not concerned with my age. I just want to marry my guy!!!
I'm 22, but I wasn't waiting til recently as I get ever closer to finishing college and hopefully going off to law school. My bf is 26 during 27 so he's in the age where he wants to settle down. My mom got married young at 20 and she's been with my father for 28 years. I never thought I would be waiting as in I didn't want to get married because I'm very career focused, but I'm not in the whole party scene that comes with my still young age, and rather settle down with someone. I've been with my bf for almost 2years now so it's a good time to start waiting ha. Age is a number when things are right for you they are right for you at whatever point in time that is.
One person voted for Thanksgiving....that's in 2 days! Something tells me my birthday but I do have my 10 year high school reunion the day after Thanksgiving so WHO KNOWS! I just wanted to say thank you all for your wonderful support and I hope everyone has a GREAT Thanksgiving whether your engaged, married, in a relationship or single...you are all loved!!! xoxo
I was 29 years old when FI proposed and I'll be 30 when we marry.. you're not too "old".
It didn't happen on Thanksgiving....and I take my trip to NYC this Saturday! I am 99.9% sure it will NOT happen then. I have a strange feeling he is going to wait until our 2 year ann (Jan 23) then ask. He is VERY traditional. His mom told me they were going to go "shopping" soon. So who knows! I hope everyone had a great Holiday. Anyone traveling for Christmas? NYC is awesome this time of year and you should make it out if you can!
knelly - NYC is my home and i love being here during the holidays! definitely try to see all of the big department store windows - they're pretty creative and beautiful. i hope you have an amazing time in the city!
my BF's family is from/lives in Maine so I'll be spending Christmas with them this year. i hate the actaul travelling for the holidays, but so long as i'm there for long enough, it's worth it! i'm looking forward to it though! sounds like Jan 23rd is your day, and it's just around the corner! yay!
I'm 28, dating the BF for 5 years. In my neck of the woods though average age to get married is like 30. So I think regional custom definitely plays a part in feeling "old".
I've got my fingers crossed for Jan 23rd!
39 and finally engaged....I will be married a few short weeks before my 40th birthday!!!
Worth the wait.....
Didn't happen in NYC.......oh well! I had so much fun though and I didn't even think about it. I wanted to enjoy my time. I'm thinking the month of January, but who knows!!!
I am 35...and waiting for the ring/proposal
