Date twin! AHHHH I feel the same way! I'm usually SUPER organized but this wedding is just kicking my butt! I'm excited to do the DIY stuff but we're still meeting with vendors to tie up the details. We haven't gotten our license yet either.
Good luck!
ANNNNNNNND my venue is also an hour and a half away and my dress is scheduled to come in on the 24th of this month.
Sigh.
aww dont even sweat it!!!! i bet once your with your mom everything will come together perfect and quickly!!! i love how mommies always take charge without being overbaring !!!! take lots of pics and remeber to enjoy this time !!!!
@Miss Brown Bear: Hi, Date Twin!! Okay I feel so relieved that I am not alone! I hope both of our dresses come in early and that our weddings are legal on that day haha! Good luck to you too.
@babebabe06: Yes my mom can snap her fingers and things magically come together. It's crazy and sometimes frightening. Fortunately she will be back on Saturday. I feel selfish saying that, because she is leaving her grandchildren for who knows how long :-( but she had to come back so it's not like it's just because I need wedding help. Even though I do haha
Just to add in a little perspective (so nobody has to slap me) I will say I am SO excited to be getting married to the BEST man in the entire world. I am so lucky and I can't wait :-) Our wedding is going to be so sweet and full of love that I know there won't be a dry eye out there. I'm sure that all the little things will just go away. But I still need to get my butt in gear! lol
I'm behind too! I have all of this left to finish:
Pick out ceremony
Ceremony music
recpetion music
table numbers
favors
seating chart
and many others I'm sure!
I have felt like this the entire time I have been engaged. I keep on thinking that the rest of the things I have to do will hit me one day as I got closer, but they haven't--and my wedding is this weekend! I also did not have my ceremony figured out until less than a month before the wedding. Remember to breathe, and it will all work out!
@doingathing: Oh my Goodness! I am going to be in your shoes very soon! Congratulations though, I am so excited for you. Good luck and have a wonderful wedding day.
@Violachap: First, I love your profile pic. I just wanted to say that. haha So glad I'm not the only one with the music. This music thing is really frustrating me. We didn't want traditional or classical music since our wedding is so casual and outdoors. But now I'm at a loss for what to do at all. We are definitely working on music this weekend! Also the favors. My MOH, her sister, her boyfriend, and I are going to pull an all nighter the week before and make all the caramel/candy apples for our favors. Like 130 of them! YIKES! But this is actually going to be fun I think. The dress coming in so late is really what is messing up my week before plans. Sigh.

I just realized that our wedding is in 4 1/2 weeks!! Like I mean this just hit me like a ton of bricks and I feel like I have gotten NOTHING DONE! I have no clue how I'm gonna pull this off. I guess I am waiting for my mom to take charge and she has been in California for a month because my sister just had twins. The other problem is that I live an hour and a half away from where we are getting married, so I pretty much only get to do stuff on the weekends and it's hard. Also freaking out because my dress is not scheduled to get in until the week before the wedding and this is just making me crazy! How am I supposed to get my dress a week before I get married and have it altered too especially when it's going to New Orleans which is FIVE hours away? WTF?! There goes my bridal portrait session too which I am bummed about! So anyway I feel so stressed out, there is so much to do and I have to work so much during the week that I don't have time for anything. Maybe all this DIY was a HUGE mistake. I feel like a slacker though! Am I the only one? How are the rest of you November Ladies coping?
Oh yeah btw, let me just say that I also have no ceremony music planned out nor do we even have the actual ceremony planned out although I have the utmost faith in our officiant being able to pull this off. This coming Sunday is our shower so I will be spending all of next week on TY notes. We have FI's 20 year class reunion the weekend after that and yeah I only have weekends to pretty much do wedding stuff. We have no marriage license because I am in a different state than we are getting married in and our work schedules on Monday mornings seem to conflict and we can't even get to the courthouse. We have to buy our rings and everything still. I feel like a LOSER and usually I'm a very organized person! It's just the long distance thing and the work schedules that are screwing me up. I guess this whole post turned into one big vent, but man, it felt good to get this off my chest right now. haha
