You're way too late to ask them for the time investment. : (8 votes)

@bourkelton:  I think you should ask! Why not…regardless of your wedding being in 83 days, your friends will be super excited!  The only thing I would say is make you’re ok with letting the BM’s choosing their own dresses…because that isn’t enough time to order a dress unless you guys want to pay extra to have it expedited!  When my sister got married, she told us a color…we picked our own dresses and then sent her a pix for her approval…something like that could work out in your case too 🙂

You certainly have time, and you’re alowed to change your mind! If you truly want more friends to stand up there with you you should ask them!

I was asked to be a maid in a wedding 1,000 miles away….6 weeks in advance. I say you’re fine, I was just honored to be asked

As them all out to dinner and ask them there.  Any ladies who can’t make it to dinner, just ask them via phone.

Be realistic about the ability to come up with matching dresses on shorter notice, but other than that – why not?  If it’s what your heart is telling you is right, just go for it.  You are lucky to be so loved 😀

I would definitely ask them if you want them! They can always say no.

@bourkelton:  Oh no! Hopefully they can all put their issues aside for one day to support you!

My wedding was planned in 4 months. You definitely should. I don’t think fitting has anything to do with it. Places like David’s bridal don’t need that much time advance. That’s where we got our bridesmaid dresses because we knew every bridesmaid had access to try on the dress at David’s. They were also inexpensive. I think that you should put a disclaimer in there that if they feel it’s too last minute then you will not be offended if they reject.

@bourkelton:  No, just limit what you expect of them.  I would, perhaps, try to make dress guidelines that are easy for them to follow, within their own budget and preferences, for example.

Definitely ask! And let them know there isn’t much involved
