This doesn’t strike me as an exclusively “young” dress. I think it would look lovely on you. Is it lavendar/gray?

I think you’re beautiful and would look like a lovely bride in that dress. If you’re having a hard time shaking fear of judgement, you could always wear a simple sheer bolero over the dress, or maybe have cap sleeves added in the same material as the sheer layers in the front. I don’t think it’s inappropriate for your age though.

Wear what makes you happy! I don’t see anything inappropriate about it.

I think it works, but I don’t think totally bare above the bustline would work.  I think an ornate, large-ish necklace, would pull it all together.  This sort of idea.

@Blackie:  That’s not an over-the-top princessy gown, so I think it’s appropriate for the over 25 crowd. Some of the ballgowns just scream “Disney princess” with their sparkly ruffly tulle-y details, and those I think of as “young” dresses.

Try it without that hideous flower belt, it’s just too much for anyone who isn’t 6′ tall.

@Blackie:  Yep – the right necklace suddenly makes it stately, instead of girlish/youthful or whatever.

@Blackie:  I love the flower belt! But, as PPs have said, you might want to break up the all-bare above-bust area 🙂
