I think I have finally picked my dress. The Sabelle. Though I still go back and forth. I can’t wait to get the pictures of me onto my computer!!!!! But my family has been telling me that it is too big and poofy for someone my age. (I am only 30) They think I should go with something straight down or my original dress. They also tell me I am too old for a veil. Am I going to look ridiculous. Now I picture myself pushing a cane down the isle in a big poofy hoop skirt. hahaha Anyone ever heard of things like this?

There’s no age limit on dresses. You are NOT that old. Wear whatever dress you feel beautiful and comfortable in. Same thing goes for a veil.

It’s your day you should wear whatever you want!
Besides, you’re only as old as you think you are! 🙂

No such thing as too old! Wear what makes you happy! Sabelle is a beautiful dress!

I don’t think age has anything to do with it. If you can rock that dress and you feel great in it I think you should go for it. 30 is still an age where you are in your prime.

First off: WOW that is a BEAUTIFUL dress! Second off: 30 is not old and I think that would look amazing on someone your age! Third off: You are not too old for a veil! Now I could see them saying this if you were 60+ and on your second or third marriage yeah it would not look right on you but 30 come on! Besides it your day and it all comes down to how you feel! If you feel super sexy and special in it then its your dress and that is all the matters!

I don’t think there’s an age limit on poofy dresses. If you like it and you like the way you look in it, then i say go for it. Plus, it’s a beautiful dress.

@nonapkns: 30 is not too old! I’m going to be 35 and wearing the pink White by Vera 🙂 And I’m wearing a veil.
Do what feels good and makes you happy!

You are definately not to old to wear the dress of your dreams on your wedding day. Don’t let anyone talk you out of it. I was 51 on our wedding day and I wore the dress of my dreams. It was white and lacey and poofy and princessy. It is your day and you should wear what you want. Here is a picture of me in my dress.
Oh, and I also wore a veil, so if you want to wear one, go for it. It is your’s and your future husband’s day, so you should both do what makes you the happiest.

@tksjewelry:That is a gorgeous gown….I really like it.
@CruiseWedding2010: Not that 36 is old….. but I would have guessed you were much younger. You look beautiful in that picture.
And to everyone…..thanks. I didnt really think there was an age limit for gowns but I wasnt really sure when more than one of the members of my family were saying things!
