I'm not sure what to tell you, but I wouldn't miss work, but that's just me.  I do have a question for you if you would answer it for me. 

Where did you order your dress online?  And what was so bad about it?  I was considering ordering mine from an online retailer, but I don't if it is the same one.

I did the Filene’s Basement running of the brides in August in Boston.  I’m a street size 12 too and there were plenty of dresses in my size.   Depending on the brand of dress, dresses between the sizes of 10-18 fit me.  There were many girls there that were bigger than me and they found dresses too.   I would definitely go!  My only advice is to go a little bit later in the morning.  I was the 100th bride in line, about 300-400th person overall and by the time my “team” ran in we didn’t grab one dress.   After the craziness died down in the morning (maybe after an hour or two) 90% of the dresses we back on the rack.  I found a beautiful white strapless gown for $250.  </font></font>
