So, FI and I are arguing…and here’s why:
I burned his leather seat in the car. I put a blanket on the seat since it was cold and turned the seat heater on. Apparently, it got so hot that it burned the seat!
My question is this: does anyone else put something on their car’s seat to keep your butt warm? My FI said it was weird that I did this, but I think it’s totally normal.

I used to put a towel on my leather seats in the summer so my legs wouldn’t burn on impact but I don’t put things down in the cold.

Well… if the seat has a heater in it, why did you put the blanket on top? Alternatively, if you put a blanket on top already, why bother to turn the seat heater on?
I think I’d side with your FI. If the leather seats in my car got burnt, I’d be PISSED.

That is so weird, I have never heard of a seat burning like that! It makes you think that if it can burn a towl, it can burn your clothes?!?
I don’t put anything down when its cold b/c my seat warmers come on really fast.

I do in the wintertime, but I’ve never had a seat that heats up… are they ruined? :/

I have leather seats and I only put a towel on them in the summer if I am wearing shorts or a skirt to keep my thighs from being burned.

We have seat heaters but they work really fast, so I’ve never even thought to put something else on there. If someone burnt/damaged my seats I’d be pretty upset….

That is so weird! How would it not burn your clothes?! Scary! I have only put a towel on a leather seat if it is too hot in the summer, but this sounds dangerous.
