I feel sad for her. I really hope she gets her crap together soon. I loved her in her early years.

I just heard little snippets on the radio. From what I could gather she’s receiving medical help somewhere? They said she’s been put on meds and they seem to be helping as her behaviour is going back to normal.

@Peachytalk:  I’m glad that they finally got her some court ordered treatment.  I hope she is able to straighten out but it’s going to take months if not years for her to truly be stable if half of what made into the media is true.  I hope her parents are able to get the conservatorship so they can manage her money and treatment until she is stable enough to do it for herself.

Makes me sad. I used to love her. Glad she’s finally getting help.

@beachbride1216:  I agree, that’s what she needs. Look how well it worked out for Britney Spears. I believe she is still under conservatorship to this day.

I really hope her parents are able to help her.  The conservatorship did wonders for Britney Spears.

I love basically ALL of Amanda Bynes’ movies…so I hope she gets her shit together!  Also Lindsay Lohan.

Yea, I haven’t been pleased with the coverage. Media just doesn’t really understand mental illness. I work in an acute psychiatric facility much like the one she is in. I really don’t think it’s schizophrenia, and they can’t begin to start saying she has “schizophrenic tendencies” (which isn’t something a psych hospital would say or report) until she’s clean off of any substances since they can induce psychosis. If this stuff is still occurring when she’s clean and sober, I’m thinking it’ll more likely end up being Bipolar Disorder with Psychotic Features.

@vanike:  This will sound bad, but I hope her problems stem from more than “just” drug abuse, because it will mean her parents can obtain conservatorship.  If she is behaving the way she is because of drugs, I don’t think they qualify.  But really I don’t mean it…I just hope she can get clean/get help and go back to being awesome.

@Peachytalk:  I heard on the radio that she is being treated for a mental illness. Not sure how reliable that information is. She’s a very pretty girl but I’ve never seen any of her movies so I have no idea if she is talented. Still a shame though.

@peachacid what’s terrible about this is that I think she may get conservatohopping because of who she is and what she has. Whereas I get patients that come in and out so many times, some have had 120 hospitalizations in one year and we try and try and they keep getting denied conservatorship. It’sfrustrating becatime they are truly incapable of taking care of themselves and making solid decisions, but because of lack of funding or budget cuts they get denied, discharged, and still come right back.

And sorry for going a bit off topic there 🙂
