- Wedding: September 2009
One of my college professors recently published a book called “The Mother-In-Law’s Manual.” I bought a copy for my mom because I know that she is interested in stuff like how to be the parent of an adult… Of course I also bought it because I know and respect the author!
However, I ended up reading a few pages before giving it to my mom, and I couldn’t put it down! The author has 2 grown sons who both got married, and she talks about what it was like trying to learn how to be a good MIL… But it’s really about so much more.
For me, I got a chance to think about how I interact with my FMIL and how I could be more open to having an authentic relationship with her instead of just chatting uncomfortably…
It would have been a great read at any time, but def. now that the wedding is less than 2 months away and I’m getting all emotional and stuff… 🙂 Anyhow, here’s a link to the website… You can find a copy on there or Bright Sky Press, and Amazon too…. If anyone gets a chance to read it, I’d love to know what you think!
