LOVE! I love love love ours and I was originally worried since no one had ever heard of them in our friend/fam group however people have purchased everything off of that one before our Bed Bath & Beyond one. You can get emailed when things are purchased and you're given the billers address for thank you notes. You can add anything from any website anywhere which means in addition to everything Amazon has to offer we've added stuff from PotteryBarn, Restoration, Anthro, etc.
Not my experience per se but my brother and sister-in-law did Amazon for theirs and apparently all the guests LOVED it. It is pretty nice that you can register for pretty much anything.
We're doing it for a few items we couldn't find at Bed Bath and Beyond (our other registry) and even older guests have been very positive. I would say to make sure that you have a second registry that's a chain if you have internet-unsavvy relatives who would want to go into a brick and mortar store.
I used Amazon for one of my registries and quite a few people ordered from it. I had a GREAT experience. One of the reasons I chose Amazon is because things are better priced than other stores.
I did make sure to have a brick and mortar store registry (Kohls) for people to utilize as well.

I'm interested in the bees' experiences with Amazon.com good or bad. Thanks!
