I was googling to see whether Amazon offered a completion discount on wedding registries, and ended up clicking on a link that landed to their baby registry page, which they offer a 10% completion discount for.
Then, I clicked on the wedding registry link, and there is no mention of a completion discount! WTH!
Don’t newlyweds deserve a completion discount as much as new moms and dads? I just emailed them to ask that exact question.
Seems messed up to me – they should offer it to both or neither.

i agree with you! they really need to step up and offer a completion discount. i have been researching registries and almost all of the major ones- target, bb&b, macy’s, crate and barrel, dillards, and i’m sure others all offer a completion program. i didn’t know they offer it for baby though, that is annoying.

I wish they did, but it may be because Amazon is a store fornt for a lot of different sellers so it could be tougher. (Although if they can do it for baby registries, they should be able to do it for wedding registries.)

@HobbyLobbyist: I imagine a completion discount would only be offered on items sold by Amazon and Marketplace items would be excluded (much like their free shipping offer).

If I was Amazon, I probably wouldn’t offer a completion option with a 10% discount. I feel like there are way too many people who would take advantage of that.
I wonder why they would offer it for only Baby Registries though…

i hadnt even heard of a completion discount until recently! i’m registered at amazon, and to be honest, the convenience of shop and click vs going to a storefront to do a registry outweighs the 10% discount by far…lol. i am slightly annoyed that the wedding registry secton is so hard to find…i have the link directly to our registry on my website, but to just go to the sie and even find where the registries are located is annoying.
