I am from vancouver but now live in Toronto....Vancouver Island would be a gorgeous setting for an intimate wedding. Depending on how many guests you're planning to invite and what kind of theme you're looking at having, Torfino is gorgeous! The Wickaninnish Inn is beautiful and right on the ocean...http://www.wickinn.com/ Another beautiful choice would be Kelowna BC, which is approx 300 km North-East of Vancouver. Its right along one of the largest lakes in Canada and a absolutely fantastic place to be in the summer. Banff would be gorgeous, or Kelowna, as PP mentioned. The vineyards and orchards there are beautiful!

Niagara-on-the-lake (Ontario) or the the Okanagan (eastern BC) could be great. These are winery countries, so you may have a ton of options for small groups.
If you're looking for breath-taking scenary, then anywhere in the Rockies should be good.
I would HIGHLY recommend BC over Quebec. It's just so much more scenic of a location with many options. You have the Rocky mountains, or an island setting, or wine country, or hidden forest/lake settings.
Tofino would be my choice for anywhere on the island.

Hi! I've been thinking about doing an intimate destination wedding in Vancouver Island, Montreal, or Quebec City-- or in another beautiful Canadian location you might suggest. Do you have any suggestions for inexpensive, but beautiful places? Do you know of any small chapels that would work well? Any resorts that would make good spots for a small, quiet group?
