I was hoping I could get some help in dealing with my latest wedding RSVP. My FH’s Aunt and Uncle were invited to our wedding, but instead of both of them coming, his Aunt replied that she and her 1 year old grand daughter would be coming. I’m really annoyed, because I wasn’t planning on having any children at my wedding! All I can imagine is a child screaming through the ceremony and speeches. Also, am I to now rent a highchair and provide a childs meal? Help! I don’t know what to do with this.

Kindly tell her no kids are allowed.

Giver her a call and advise her that the invitation was addressed specifically to her and your uncle, and that you aren’t having children at the wedding. You’re sure she understands that it would cause issues if she was allowed when others can’t, and you understand if she has to change her response.

I’ll never understand why people assume they can bring their kids to everything, especially without asking.

Ditto with the above.
Invitations are not transferable.
