Mine is kind of Grecian in style. I found goddess-type gowns by far the most flattering on me- the floaty chiffon was very flattering without swamping my curves totally. Have you tried and dresses on in the style you are hoping for? Good luck in your dress hunt!
I have very similar measurements as you except I am only 5'4". I loved the way that this style looked on me. I thought it was very flattering. Here is a picture of me in a grecian dress:

These are all so helpful, and gave me an idea of what I wanted. Now I found my DREAM DRESS!!!
Thank you all girls, your gowns are beautiful xoxoxo

Hello bees xoxo,
Now I'm looking for some dress HELPPPP! I'm a pretty curvy girl. My bust isn't big at all, it's all in my hips. I'm going in for measurments sometime next week, but I think my measurments are (34, 30, 42), I'm about 150lbs. As you can probably see, I have a lot of junk in my trunk, for a 5'7 girl. Does anyone think that's too much?
But here's my question.
I've never been a fan of big, too tight or too puffy dresses. I've always loved the Ancient Greek/Roman style wedding dresses. The sashes, the robe-like look, the slim figure and light-weight material. But then the little voice in my head tells me: ''Are you insane, YOU, in that kind of dress?! Girllll, have you seen your ass?''
That makes me sniff. Of course I'll be working out and staying in shape not just for my dress, but for myself! But then I get to thinking, even if I drop a bunch of weight, these curves are here to stay! I've had these hips since I hit puberty, there was no running from them. So why not embrace them?
Does anyone have pictures of themselves in Ancient Greek/Roman style wedding dresses? Any curvy bees out there that want to show off their bombshell bodies in their gowns!? Please help me make up my mind! Should I embrace my curves or be in denial!?
THANK YOU xoxoxox
