Have you ever heard of anything like this? My dress had lots of tulle on the skirt, at one point a layer was falling off in the back and I pulled it ... and the layer was quickly removed from the dance floor by a staff lol. I didn't have any problems really, just a couple times when it was stepped on accidentally ... I think we forgot to bustle it? Lol. Also, by the end of the night - when everyone was going home ... you could clearly see the the hoop part broke and it was sticking out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! =)

Haha, that's great. I'm kind of afraid of this!  Not that it'll stop me from partying my face off, but I know someone that I may give my dress to after the wedding. I don't want to promise it, though - you never know what'll happen during the reception!

WOW! You either had a poorly made dress, or you had a BLAST! (I'm assuming the latter!) I'm doing a "trash the dress" photo-shoot at the end of our ceremony. I don't feel like carrying a dress with me for the next 30 years, hoping a daughter I have yet to give birth to wants to wear it! Sounds like you had a great time! Congrats!

Yes, it was an incredible time. I somehow stuffed it back into the bag they gave me for it and I will give it to my mom to take care of - while away on honeymoon. I don't exactly know how that plastic part on the bottom came out .... lol.

I read somewhere that if the wedding dress is trashed by the end of the wedding it means it was a really great party!

Ha ha... that's how you know you had a good time.

My bustle broke partway through the reception so part of my dress hung down. Fortunately it still looked good. :)

Seriously, I had my Trash the Dress session right there at the reception! Lol. I wonder at which point it broke!! I don't think anyone noticed the tulle or even knew what was going on. Fiance told me that everyone was completely wasted. I danced all night!!!

Yikes!  Mine got really dirty and I lost a button cover, but that sounds like you REALLY tore up the dance floor : )

    Congrats!

Thank you and I just realized I have to call him ... husband not fiance!!!!! I just was texting the hubs and told him I feel like I just woke up. What happened. I finished an entire bottle of champagne myself. We had a bottle of champagne chilled and I remember that it was all finished. I guess I drank it? Omg. It's all coming back to me now!!!!!!! I should write this down in a notebook! Our video and pictures are going to be pure insanity.

Sounds like you had a lot of fun!  I came back to the hotel with blood all over my dress.  I have no idea when I hit my hand, but it bled all over one side.
