It’ll look fine. Shantung has a great sheen when seen from afar, it won’t clash with your gown at all. Since when do fabrics have to match? My bridesmaids wore chiffon dresses with satin sashes, and my gown was entirely of embroidered matte satin. Totally different silhouette and neckline, too. Looked fine.

yeah, I felt like it all had to "match".  but I ended up getting my dress in taffeta, which of course is really hard to find in anything.  SO my girls will be wearing dupioni silk.  and three different dresses.  and the necklines won’t match mine.  who cares?  we are modern brides!
