So I’ve been having a lot of problems with cysts lately. In the last 6 months I’ve grown 5 in various parts of my body. Well in the past few weeks I’ve been having a ton of pelvic pain, so bad that there are some mornings I just can’t get out of bed, and sex has become a thing of the past. My stomach is also huge and bloated.. not cool.
So finally I have a day off and I decide to go to the gyno to see what’s up. Turns out I have a lemon sized cyst on my right ovary. The scary part is that the Doctor said it may or may not be cancer, and I have to go back next week to get blood work and another ultrasound. He wanted to do the blood work today to check for elevated white blood cell counts, but I decided that I should wait until I have my husband with me for moral support. I’m not totally freaking out, but I do wish good news would start coming… we are trying to have a baby and this is a set back.
So now I have to start some medicine to start my period and pray for the best. The good news is that it may be nothing, but the fact that my mother had a full hysterectomy by the time she was 28 because of ovarian cancer isn’t making it look good.

Ugh, I’m so sorry you have to go through this! I’m glad you went in, though, rather than just hoping it would go away.

Prayers and best wishes to you, jamiemichelle! So sorry that you are going through this! At least you did go in and get it looked at. Some people just wait on going to the doctors for whatever reason or don’t go at all, so you definitely took the first big step toward getting healthy!

Thanks girls… I appreciate it. It’s nice to know I can always come here and get support… I’m trying to keep all this on the DL with friends and family until I really know what’s going on. I know my mom will totally spazz out when she finds out.
The well wishes and prayers are definitely appreciated.

I had a cyst on my left ovary. I know what you are going through. Just hang in there, and try to get those results as soon as possible so that you can get on with your life.
My thoughts are with you! And keep that chin up girl!

I had cysts on both ovaries and in my left fallopian tube, so I know where you’re coming from and what you’re going through.
I’ll be sending good vibes your way!

When will your husband be “available for emotional support?”
Please don’t procrastinate on your blood work too long.

I can’t say I’m familiar with this kind of situation, but you’re in my thoughts and prayers!

(((HUGS))) & prayers!!! It’s so scary but i’m glad your going to take your Hubby with you. I wouldn’t put it off too long tho, i had a cyst on my right ovary that was the size of a lemon, and three days later it was the size of a basketball (blah). So i know this is scary, positive thoughts and don’t procrastinate.

He will be home next Monday, but I have to figure out how I’m going to get off work. I’m a nanny, and I have people depending on me. Responsibilities suck, especially when they conflict..
