It’s upgrade time, finally! I currently have an HTC One S (T-Mobile) and DH just upgraded to a Nexus 4 from the HTC One S and absolutely loves it. He keeps telling me that it’s the phone I need to get, yada yada. Well, I’ve have Android phones since Android began with the Motorola Droid, so it’s been a while. DH says I’d hate the iPhone 5, but I’m really ready for a change. What do you ladies have and why do you like it?

I prefer Androids with actual keys because my fingers don’t always register on touch screens. As a result, iPhones are the bane of my existence because half of the time I can’t dial or text anything!

I love my iPhone because it works so seemlessly with my MacBook and iPad.

iPhone all the way! Before I switched to my iPhone I was completely against Apple for some unknown reason. Got the iPhone, will never go back to Android. My Android started freezing and getting all glitchy within a year of having it. Everyone else that has one has had the same problems. Also, you have to constantly “kill” apps or it drains your battery. My iPhone is never glitchy and the battery is great (contrary to what most people say about the 4s). Even though it was on airplone mode, my phone lasted an entire week without a single charge (I forgot to turn it off when I went on a cruise and it was in the safe the whole time). The only time the battery gets drained quickly is when I’m reading on it or I’m so bored somewhere that I’m constantly on FB or WeddingBee lol. Oh and Androids are so freaking massive now, it’s like having a tablet in your pocket…no thanks.

I had iPhones for years and finally switched to Android (Galaxy S4)… There really is no comparison! The new Androids are leaps and bounds ahead of Apple, and I’ll definitely never go back.
The only real benefit I see to iPhone is if you are an Apple junkie and have a Mac computer, iPad, etc. because then they all work together. That totally makes sense. I only had the iPhone and was getting pretty sick of the glitches, freezing, lagging and battery drainage (not to mention the constant updates from Apple slowing down my phone) which is why I switched.

I am debating between a Samsung Galaxy S4 and an Iphone 5. Too bad the S4 is soooooo darn big! My hands are so tiny. I am leaning towards an Iphone though. Surprisingly, I’ve never had a smart phone and I’ve had my dumb phone for 4 years now. It’s time for an upgrade.

@PacificMrs: i love my iphone (i have the 5). the only beef i have with it is the battery life. the 4S has better battery life, and i use my phone so much i usually kill the battery by 3 pm. haha!
FI went through numerous androids and never could get a single one without bugs and glitches. he sent them back every couple of months for 2 years before he threw up his hands and got the 4S. we both have been really happy with our iphones overall.

I have the nexus 4 and I love it! I think it really depends on how much you want to personalize your phone. I bought mine directly from Google so DH will tinker with it from time to time. He occasionally changes the operating system to fit my needs (pretty sure you can’t do this with apple). I also have a nexus tablet so I love that they are directly linked.
I have no problem with my battery (due to switching my operating system) and never “kill” my apps. My DH has had his nexus (3? Whatever came before the 4 lol) for over a year. It’s a bit slower than mine due to the new technology in mine but besides that it runs great and still has good battery life.

I have a Droid 3 and I love it! It has a slide out keyboard which is perfect for texting or emails.
I’m very Apple-inept…can’t seem to work their products!

unless you’re prepared to also get an ipad ibook and every other i-product, I’d stay far far away from it.
that’s what I loath about the i-shit. You have one you need them all. I just recently uninstalled itunes. Get out of my life apple!
I’ve never had an iphone (the unfortunate fact is that I’ve had 3) that didn’t have a major problem and would sink seamlessly with my itunes. I always had to use my sony mp3 player for music too. Drag and drop is that so hard??

@MRSsrm85: what do tiny hands have to do with big screens? I have tiny hands and I love the big screens so convenient.
