@steph2012: any Angel Orensanz brides out there? Anyone else have thoughts?
You can also have them set up a spot for the older folks to hang out and rest downstairs. I got married there, but only had a few (maybe 2) mobility impaired guests and they made it up to cocktail just fine.
The images of my wedding are in my profile. It really was a spectacular event!

Hi Bees,
I'm looking very seriously at Angel Orensanz for my wedding later this summer/fall. I absolutely love the space, but I have one concern: they have a lot of stairs, which guests will have to climb to get to the cocktail hour and to get into the building. I understand that they have a mechanical chair in which they will move mobility-impaired guests one at a time. Have any of you had experience with this? We will have at least 6 older guests who would have difficulty climbing the stairs. I worry that this process will take 15+ minutes and that they will feel uncomfortable waiting to be ferried individually. Do you think it will be a problem, or am I being overly sensitive? Thanks for any input!!
