Anntaylor is among the places I’ve been thinking about for my (destination) wedding dress. The nice thing about anntaylor is that everything is returnable.  If its not up to par, you can always return it.  They also have sales/online coupons pretty regularly.

I”m also thinking about jcrew or jenny yoo.  They both have similar “clean” looks.

I loved the jcrew/ann taylor look even before we decided on going away for the wedding.  I also really liked Alyne (I posted about a trunk show before, its in 2 weeks!).

I think that Alyne is a little out of my budget, but you shouldn’t let the sticker on the jcrew dresses scare you.  My friend got one for $150 at the store in NYC.

i order 4 different Ann Taylor dresses and found the quality to be inconsistent.  Two dresses looked great, 2 cheap with uneven seaming, etc.  But be warned, their return policy is HORRIBLE.  I returned the dresses over a month ago online, cause they wont let you return to the store, using their shipping label, etc and havent received credit.  To make matters worse, you cant track the shipments using their labels.  Its not worth the stress!  Go Jcrew.

I ordered one of the dresses from Ann Taylor (but returned it cause it was too small). I really like it  – it was the vneck chiffon dress. It seemed to be good quality – you couldn’t see through it and it felt soft and nice. I had not problems with the returns either. They have a pre-printed label that you just put on the back and take to USPS. I was credited back the amount within a few weeks.

I ordered 2 wedding dresses.  When I returned them I decided to insure the shipping and send them back UPS.  Leaving the wedding dress at my mail box really worried me.  Anyways when Ann Taylor recieve the dress they credited me the wrong amount back.  They not only charged me shipping but then only credited me part of my dress.  When I contacted them they recognized the error and gave me back the shipping but then did not fix the problem with the credit on the dress.  About 2 hours worth of phone calls and I was told to work it out with ANN TAYLOR Credit card and one department doesn’t talk to the other. The poor woman from customer service and I spent hours with a calculator trying to figure out what web service had done.  I warn anyone ordering from them to really pay attention to your bill.  This is a case where ordering on line wasn’t worth the time or the money.  I will be canceling my credit card with them and they lost a long time customer.
