But is anyone else so excited to see that movie?!? Maybe once the movie comes out you'll be able to find the designer too!!
it's not custom!
i saw a behind the scenes thing that, i believe, said one dress in the film is a vera wang and the other is a monique lhullier. i'm not sure which is which, or maybe i mixed it up. but it's definitely one or the other!

thanks for the lead! i looked at the vera and monique websites, and- NADA!! maybe it's a fall 2009 dress. both sites are on spring 09.
I can't wait that long!!...but mostly because i'm impatient, not because i need a dress that soon. :)

On another board they said that both were custom Vera Wangs so who knows, maybe they will release them after the movie?
I'd bet it's a Vera Wang...it looks very similar to my dress (which I LOVED, btw 
) I can't see the bottom of her dress in the pic. to know for sure, but I remember seeing a few variations of my dress the following year but pics of my dress are attached. It originally had the "sleeves" but I had them removed to make it strapless. It's dark ivory silk taffeta and from the Fall 2005 collection. I got it at the Vera Wang botique in NYC. I purchased in it 2007 and though it wasn't on the floor, I had seen it in the most recent Martha Stewart weddings and they brought it up for me.

Cab07 is correct, it is a Vera Wang from Fall 2005. The style number is VW11456. I wore it this past August for my wedding. I believe the only custom part on the dress for the movie is the large bow on the rear. It was originally shown with a large velvet brown sash. It is a stunning dress.
