@StarIzInkd: i dont think announcements work like that. If I am not mistaken.. you can send an announcement to everyone.. but save the dates are wedding related and require a follow up invite. If you are super excited.. send them out.. to the whole world lol --me even :-p Are you thinking of doing something traditional or a little different?
@MrsNeutrino: Hey I might just take u up on that LOL! I'm all excited to plan out a DIY project too, maybe use this awesome pic of us from NYE! Sooo I can send them to everyone and anyone saying we got engaged on ____ date and that's all that's necessary. Not to worry about inviting those same people? I figure most will be invited but you never know by the time wwe get to sending out invitations (almost 2 years) some ppl we may not want there.

My mom has been bugging me the last few months to send out engagement announcements. Now honestly I waited 8 years for the proposal so ANYTHING to announce and show off the engagement makes me very happy but I feel funny without it being a STD. ANy ideas how an announcement should be worded? ANd I assume, whoever we send an announcement to should also be invited to the wedding?
Any help/ideas appreciated :)
