I tend to prefer rings to be the same metal, and am not a big fan of the mis-matched look, so for that reason I voted for the white gold milgrain band. I also like the white gold with your blue topaz; for me, yellow gold is a little bright and kind of detracts from it (hard to explain).

As far as the number of rings go, I personally would just go with one band; again, I think 2 is a bit much and detracts from the beauty of your engagement ring.

    Which do you prefer though?

@jadlnc:  Have you considered getting a matching band made? That way it would complement your engagement ring perfectly, and be exactly what you want. Though it would probably bring you over-budget

I think rose gold would look awesome (better than yellow gold and I love yellow gold) with your stone color and white gold band!  You should at least find a band/ring so you can put it up against your ring to see how it looks.  In my head it looks awesome, but that’s not real life and you have to like it!

I prefer one band over two bands, but that’s just personal preference.  Again, do what makes you happy.

Have you looked at stuller.com? They have a lot of handwoven and engraved bands that are beautiful!

    Also look on etsy!

I’ll look on there and post some I see 🙂

I like it paired with your mom’s, so I’d go for a 2 mm white gold milgrain band.

@jadlnc:  If it was me, I’d do matchy matchy.  But that’s just me.  After that, I’d do the plain milgrain.  Ring shopping shouldn’t make you upset. Enjoy!

I think a white gold ornate band that bears a resemblance (not a match) to your ERing. No diamonds necessary.

I am sorry I don’t have the time right now to look for an example. I do know I have seen many white gold ornate rings (thin – 2mm) here at this site.

I don’t like either example. I think it takes away from the look of your ERing.

This one is really pretty, and from what I understand you could switch the tiny diamonds out for topaz which would be neat!

I suggest going with the miligrain option or even better getting a rope one custom made! My wedding band was custom made because i couldn’t find one that I wanted that fit my ring. It was the best decision ever. I totally love it!

It can’t hurt to just talk with a jeweler and see what they say!

I will admit im not a huge fan of the options you posted pictures of. Your E-ring is gorgeous! They all take away from it.
