@weddingbee098:  Ha, I love this. The best one I’ve seen was a girl holding up a paper napkin which said “Does this ring make me look engaaged?” with a big arrow pointing to her finger!

@LaPetiote:  LOL I HAVE THAT NAPKIN! I did not take a picture with it of course and I did not buy it for myself either.

I’ve been married since August and they’re STILL annoying.

I guess this girl didn’t buy the napkin herself either but she posted her own photo of it!

I guess my question is if you’re not allowed to do any of these on the list…  What’s left to do?

@Apple_Blossom:  +1. I think everyone is allowed one silly little self-congratulatory post but anything beyond that is just overkill. My pet peeve is when someone keeps posting things like “spending the day with my fiance!”, “can’t wait to marry the love of my life!”, “only 203 days until the wedding!!”. Damn, WE GET IT ALREADY.

@Sassyfras27:  Totally agree.  Same goes with having children.  If you are posting about your pending child/wedding more than three times in the time it takes you from getting from point A to point B, you are likely doing overkill.

For a wedding; We are engaged, we set the date (only if you are okay having people ask for invites or crash), we had the wedding.

For a kid; We are pregnant, we are having a _____, we had the kid.

I get annoyed by a lot of stuff on Facebook (seriously, I looked yesterday and I had almost 50 people hidden from my newsfeed) but I don’t really have a problem with any of these! I guess if it was a repeated daily thing, but I don’t mind seeing these examples once per girl.

@Sassyfras27:  Very true, I’d be annoyed too!  I guess I was just confused.  Obviously it was meant partly as humor, but all 5 were on “first engagement statuses.”  I don’t think someone would keep posting “I’m now engaged!/Just got engaged!/He just proposed!”  But that’s because I don’t expect people to be mental.  Sadly I am often wrong…
