I think it's a good idea. Very unique and I love the idea of buying somthing that you can continue to use in your married life.
I like this idea, it is very unique and would look great in pictures. Have you found one that you like?

Hi bees. I've made it onto decor, finally, three months before the big day. Our wedding ceremony and reception is in a finished loft in NYC. Very white, floor-to-ceiling French windows, big views, natural wood floors (polished). There'll be white chairs set up for the ceremony, but I kind of wanted to walk on the wood and not on a runner. But I was curious about laying down a runner Rug? A long skinny Persian-type rug with maybe hot pinks and tuqoises in it... or having one up on the level where the ceremony will be, like a 4 X 6 rectangle or something. I haven't been to any weddings lately and was wondering what you ladies think of that? I don't have the rug (hehe), but there are GREAT deals on e-carpet and places like that on line and I'd rather put the $$ to something I can use again. ?!
