I feel like I am ready to give up on this wedding.
Last week I was so excited, went out to buy decor items and invitations. Now I walk into work to more news about my job. A few weeks ago I heard from a supervisor that I was safe and now I hear that we are all loosing our jobs. All is hearsay now so I have no idea what is going on.
Then, FI’s car completely broke down. Won’t start. And he is looking at more money then it is worth to fix it.
If I invited 20 of our family members and closest friends, go to the courthouse, then dinner afterwards at a restaurant, I can do it with the money I have saved already.

take a break from your wedding, especially while you wait to find out about your job. good luck! hope everything works out okay! in the mean time, relax and focus on doing things that make you happy.

Hard as it may be – try not to stress too much about your job when everything is still just hearsay. If it helps, trying looking into some other opportunities in case the hearsay is correct but from my expereince, I don’t put too much stock in corporate hearsay.
Other than that – take some time to think about what type of wedding you really want. If you want 20 of your family members and closest friends, the courthouse, and dinner at a restaurant – than do that and be happy! If you want a bigger event, than do that too but recognise that each option comes with its own stresses, difficulties, etc.
Hope all gets better soon!

@MamaHusky3: Ya the car situation is really stressful. Mostly because FI loves it and has put so much work into it.
FutureKMM: I think you’re right about the wedding I want. I really wanted a small wedding to begin with.

Car situations suck! Can you get by on one car?
I’m sorry you’re in this kidna position. Something small and meaningful is perfectly wonderful if that’s what you truly want to do.
