Will you be happy getting married in the dress you bought? I splurged on my dress and don’t regret it for a second, you need to be 100% happy in what you are wearing that day. I think you look beautiful in both.

You look amazing in both of them!  I’m sorry, but I prefer #2, but I may be biased because I really wanted to try that one on as well (never got the chance though).

Its called Buyers Remorse!! Not nessisaraly dress regret!  Its hard to make that final decision and to put the money out for a dress and not second guess yourself.  Maybe you should delete the picture of the second dress,  and try on the dress you bought!  If you still feel that way go try that second dress on again and contact the place and tell them you changed your mind and want the other one, they may work it out?

Did you put a deposit down or did you buy it all at once?  They are both beautiful and both similar, is that second dress really worth $400+ more then the first one?

I actually like the first one better, I think you look stunning in both, but I prefer the style of the first one. Regardless of what one you go for, once it’s altered and your hair and make up are done you’ll love how you look.

I think you are right about the pose influencing how you feel about the dress. The first dress is so similar to the second one and compliments you beautifully. I think it is normal to feel unsure about choosing your dress because it is such a big purchase! Do you feel like a bride in the first dress? I so, then I would just stick with it and think about all the fun things you can do with the extra money!

I like the first dress so much better than the second!! And $1400 more??? That is just insane! I agree with PP – try it on again at home and I bet you’ll LOVE it!

I never felt that this-is-the-one dress either, I don’t think you need to feel that to be happy with your dress

i agree with the bees above – the dresses are really similar and you look beautiful in your original dress. i think a good seamstress would be able to alter the neckline which i think would make the dress even nicer! i am a bit biased towards sweetheart necklines though ๐Ÿ™‚

I like the first one a lot more. My guess is that after alterations, the fit will be better and more like the second one, and usually sweetheart-ing the neckline is totally possible. I think the one you got is much more, I don’t know, sweet and subtle. The all-over texture on the more expensive one puts me off a little, I like the slight contrast of the bodice to the skirt on yours better!

you can definitly alter the top!!  and you will feel so much better after the alterations (although they can be quite expensive depending on what you have to have done) I spend $400 on alterations a slip and bustier (and had only budgeted for $200) but I also had to have the dress taken in, bustled and hemmed…. Looks like you wont really need the first dress hemmed!!! they charge per layer….

I really loved my dress, but I had my ah ha moment when all the alterations were done, I was like wow this dress really is amazing I never want to take it off!!!!  Dont second guess yourself ๐Ÿ™‚
